The Alabama AI Innovation Summit convenes researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers to advance AI as a system—grounded in robust operating frameworks, knowledge infrastructure, and cross-sector collaboration. The Summit serves as a national platform to align research, innovation, and deployment around the foundations of trustworthy, large-scale AI.
Outcomes:
Action Teams (Partnerships + Pilots) — New cross-sector teams formed around shared challenges, aligned to near-term funding opportunities, and ready to launch pilots and proposals.
Technical Roadmap & Investment Priorities — A summit technical report capturing priority use cases, gaps (data, tools, compute, workforce, governance), and recommended investments to scale applied AI across Alabama.
Statewide AI Alliance — A sustained network of universities, industry, startups, and public-sector partners to coordinate testbeds, share resources, and build workforce pathways beyond the summit.
